Helping Hands Ministries provides a hot meal to under-resourced adults and children in the Harrisburg area 5 days a week. Sign-up for this <a href='http://www.daybreakweb.com/serviceproject'>service project</a>.
Here's what you'll need to do. First - Pray ask Jesus for a Servant's Heart.
Then just show up at the church address below, and they'll direct you in serving the food, washing dishes, or some other need as they feed more than 80 under-resourced people who are hungry and looking for a hot-meal.
When to serve: - Pick a SUNDAY ( 4:15 – 6:00pm ) (Thursdays and Friday's are also available for a few volunteers by arranging in advance through http://www.helpinghandsministries.org
What You’ll do: You will be serving food to homeless and at risk hungry families in our community as well as providing a smiling face and welcoming conversations. Your group will pick up
Daybreak water jugs (found in the Green Room marked "Daybreak - Serving our Community", fill with ice water (or your favorite drink mix) and bring it along to provide drink. Serving at the Helping Hands Ministries will provide the basic food needs of hungry adults and children in our community.
Age Range: This is a family friendly project for children ages 8 and older. Children must be supervised.
Where to go: - SUNDAYS: In the alley behind Market SQ. Presbyterian & Dauphin County Courthouse - Blackberry and River St., Harrisburg, PA.
- THURSDAY/FRIDAY: Inside First Church of God, 15 N. 4th St., Harrisburg, PA.
